# NeuroSquad > NeuroSquad is a free desktop app for Windows and macOS that runs AI coding agent CLIs — Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and 15 more — side by side as live terminal cards on one canvas or in a grid. An arrow from an agent to another card gives the agent that card’s tools: a browser, a terminal, a note, an MCP server or another agent. It tells you the moment an agent finishes or needs your input, and shows exactly what each one costs. Everything on one page (facts, FAQ, agents, plugins, releases): https://neurosquad.ai/llms-full.txt ## Key facts - Platforms: Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit); macOS 12 or newer on Apple silicon and Intel. A Linux desktop app is planned, not released. - Price: free. The app needs a free NeuroSquad account (email code, Google or GitHub); every account is on the Free plan, with no limits. The agents run on your own CLI subscriptions and API keys, which NeuroSquad never sees. - What it does: each agent CLI runs in its own live terminal card; cards sit on an infinite canvas (with arrows and frames) or in grid mode. Switching between the two never restarts an agent. - Arrows give abilities: an arrow from an agent to a browser card (Chrome for Testing), terminal, note, todo list, task board, MCP server, skill, plugin or another agent gives that agent the matching tools — and only that agent. - Status and alerts: every card shows whether its agent is working, finished or waiting for input, from the CLI’s own hooks where it has them; a sound, a desktop notification, the phone or Telegram tells you when one needs you. - Usage and costs: tokens and cost are read from the agents’ own transcripts, priced per model; a model without a known price shows “no price”, never $0. Claude Code and Codex plan limits come from what the CLIs report. - Models: OpenRouter, and your own LM Studio, Ollama, llama.cpp, vLLM or any compatible server, in every CLI that can use them (Cursor CLI, Amp and Auggie only use their own servers). - Workspaces: a workspace is a project folder — on this computer, in a WSL distro or on a remote host over SSH (shells and Claude Code run there today). - Remote access: open the same workspace from a phone or another computer with a pairing token; off until you turn it on. - Dictation: speech-to-text runs on your computer. - Extensions: MCP servers from the official MCP Registry, skills from skills.sh, built-in plugins, community cards (Card SDK) and a templates marketplace. - Privacy: code, files, prompts and terminal output stay on your computer. The app sends NeuroSquad Cloud usage statistics only — counts such as installs, online status, which agents and cards are used — never code, names, paths, prompts or terminal output. - Latest version: 0.1.253, released 2026-10-03. The app updates itself. ## Supported agent CLIs (19) - [Claude Code](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/claude-code/) (command `claude`, https://claude.com/product/claude-code) - [OpenCode](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/opencode/) (command `opencode`, https://opencode.ai/) - [Hermes Agent](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/hermes-agent/) (command `hermes`, https://hermes-agent.nousresearch.com/) - [Kilo Code](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/kilo-code/) (command `kilo`, https://kilo.ai/cli) - [Codex CLI](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/codex-cli/) (command `codex`, https://developers.openai.com/codex/cli) - [Kimi Code](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/kimi-cli/) (command `kimi`, https://www.kimi.com/code/en) - [Pi](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/pi/) (command `pi`, https://pi.dev/) - [omp](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/omp/) (command `omp`, https://omp.sh/) - [Cursor CLI](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/cursor-cli/) (command `cursor-agent`, https://cursor.com/cli) - [Qwen Code](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/qwen-code/) (command `qwen`, https://qwenlm.github.io/qwen-code-docs/) - [Gemini CLI](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/gemini-cli/) (command `gemini`, https://geminicli.com/) - [Cline CLI](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/cline-cli/) (command `cline`, https://cline.bot/cli) - [GitHub Copilot CLI](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/copilot-cli/) (command `copilot`, https://github.com/features/copilot/cli) - [Crush](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/crush/) (command `crush`, https://github.com/charmbracelet/crush) - [aider](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/aider/) (command `aider`, https://aider.chat/) - [Goose](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/goose/) (command `goose`, https://goose-docs.ai/) - [Factory Droid](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/droid/) (command `droid`, https://factory.com/) - [Amp](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/amp/) (command `amp`, https://ampcode.com/) - [Auggie](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/auggie/) (command `auggie`, https://www.augmentcode.com/product/cli) Plus plain terminals: bash, PowerShell and cmd. ## Plugins - [RTK-AI Token Saver — compress your agents’ shell output](https://neurosquad.ai/en/plugins/rtk-ai-token-saver/): A NeuroSquad plugin that routes an agent’s git, ls, grep and test commands through RTK, open source by rtk-ai, so the model reads compressed output. Same facts, fewer tokens. Arrow on, arrow off, no restart. - [Caveman — shorter answers from your coding agents](https://neurosquad.ai/en/plugins/caveman/): A NeuroSquad plugin that gives an agent the reply rules of caveman, open source by Julius Brussee: no filler, code and errors kept exact, fewer output tokens. Arrow on, arrow off, no restart. - [Memory (mem0): long-term memory for coding agents](https://neurosquad.ai/en/plugins/mem0-memory/): A NeuroSquad plugin that gives your coding agents long-term memory on mem0, the open-source memory engine. Agents save facts and decisions and recall them in later sessions. Stored on your computer, no account. Windows and macOS. - [Context7 — up-to-date library docs for coding agents](https://neurosquad.ai/en/plugins/context7-docs/): A NeuroSquad plugin that gives your coding agents current, version-specific documentation and code examples for the libraries they use, from Context7 — instead of stale training data. One arrow, no account needed. Windows and macOS. - [Code Graph — a knowledge graph of your code for coding agents](https://neurosquad.ai/en/plugins/code-graph/): A NeuroSquad plugin that indexes your project into a knowledge graph of functions, classes, calls and imports with codebase-memory-mcp, so your coding agents find callers, callees and definitions in one call instead of grep-and-read. Runs on your computer. Windows and macOS. - [Graphify: a live map of your code for coding agents](https://neurosquad.ai/en/plugins/graphify/): A NeuroSquad plugin that maps your whole project into a knowledge graph with graphify: files, symbols, calls, imports and subsystems. Agents ask it structural questions instead of grepping, and every query lights up on a live map. Runs on your computer. Windows and macOS. ## Install - Download for Windows and macOS: https://neurosquad.ai/en/download/ - Windows (winget): `winget install NeuroSquad.NeuroSquad` - Windows (scoop): `scoop bucket add neurosquad https://github.com/glmn-ai/scoop-neurosquad && scoop install neurosquad` - Windows (powershell): `irm https://neurosquad.ai/install.ps1 | iex` - macOS (Homebrew): `brew install --cask glmn-ai/neurosquad/neurosquad` - macOS (Terminal): `curl -fsSL https://neurosquad.ai/install.sh | bash` ## Pages - [NeuroSquad — home page](https://neurosquad.ai/en/) - [Download for Windows and macOS](https://neurosquad.ai/en/download/) - [All supported agent CLIs](https://neurosquad.ai/en/harnesses/) - [Plugins](https://neurosquad.ai/en/plugins/) - [MCP servers by arrow](https://neurosquad.ai/en/mcp/) - [Skills by arrow](https://neurosquad.ai/en/skills/) - [Card marketplace](https://neurosquad.ai/en/cards/) - [Templates marketplace](https://neurosquad.ai/en/templates/) - [Card SDK — build your own cards](https://neurosquad.ai/en/card-sdk/) - [Remote access from a phone](https://neurosquad.ai/en/remote/) - [Canvas mode](https://neurosquad.ai/en/canvas-mode/) - [Scenarios — ready-made squads](https://neurosquad.ai/en/scenarios/) - [Changelog](https://neurosquad.ai/en/changelog/) - [Blog](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/) - [Privacy notice](https://neurosquad.ai/en/privacy/) ## Documentation - [Documentation (docs.neurosquad.ai)](https://docs.neurosquad.ai/en/) - [Documentation index for LLMs](https://docs.neurosquad.ai/llms.txt) ## Comparisons - [Head-to-head comparison 1](https://neurosquad.ai/en/vs/bridgemind/) - [Head-to-head comparison 2](https://neurosquad.ai/en/vs/paperclip/) ## Blog Every post is also available as plain Markdown (the .md link). - [Switch an agent’s CLI mid-task, add a template to your workspace, and Graphify](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/harness-switch-and-graphify/) (2026-10-03, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/harness-switch-and-graphify/index.md)) - [Templates: share a whole agent setup, install it with one consent](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/templates-marketplace/) (2026-10-02, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/templates-marketplace/index.md)) - [Code Graph and Context7: agents that look things up instead of guessing](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/code-graph-and-context7/) (2026-10-02, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/code-graph-and-context7/index.md)) - [Memory for agents, and statuses you can trust](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/memory-for-agents/) (2026-10-02, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/memory-for-agents/index.md)) - [NeuroSquad on the Mac, a Grid next to the canvas, and agents in WSL and over SSH](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/macos-grid-mode-wsl-ssh/) (2026-10-01, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/macos-grid-mode-wsl-ssh/index.md)) - [Plugins you switch on with an arrow](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/plugins-token-saver-and-caveman/) (2026-09-29, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/plugins-token-saver-and-caveman/index.md)) - [Plan limits you can see, accounts you choose](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/plan-limits-and-cli-accounts/) (2026-09-27, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/plan-limits-and-cli-accounts/index.md)) - [Nineteen agent CLIs, one depth of integration](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/nineteen-agent-clis/) (2026-09-26, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/nineteen-agent-clis/index.md)) - [Community cards, MCP servers and skills — all connected by an arrow](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/cards-mcp-skills-by-arrow/) (2026-09-25, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/cards-mcp-skills-by-arrow/index.md)) - [Fifty cards, one canvas: where the CPU was going, and the Squad card](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/fifty-cards-one-canvas/) (2026-09-24, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/fifty-cards-one-canvas/index.md)) - [We wrote our own installer, and NeuroSquad now updates itself](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/own-installer-and-auto-updates/) (2026-09-24, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/own-installer-and-auto-updates/index.md)) - [Why NeuroSquad: agents on a canvas, not in a row of tabs](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/why-neurosquad/) (2026-09-23, [.md](https://neurosquad.ai/en/blog/why-neurosquad/index.md)) ## Languages This file in other languages: - ru: https://neurosquad.ai/ru/llms.txt - zh: https://neurosquad.ai/zh/llms.txt
