A plugin is a card that ships with NeuroSquad. Draw an arrow from an agent to it and the agent works differently from its very next action. Take the arrow away and it’s back to normal. Your CLI’s own settings are never touched.

How plugins behave

Small, switchable, and out of your config

MCP servers give an agent new tools and skills give it new instructions. A plugin changes how the agent’s own actions run.

The arrow is the switch

Only agents with an arrow to the plugin’s card get it. The agent next to it on the same canvas works exactly as before.

Next action, no restart

Draw the arrow and the agent’s next action already goes through the plugin. Remove it and the next one doesn’t.

Your settings stay yours

A plugin never edits your CLI’s config files. It is a layer NeuroSquad adds to that one agent card, and it goes when the arrow goes.

Shipped with the app

Plugins come with NeuroSquad and are checked before they get into the list. Nothing is fetched from the internet just to show you the catalog.

The Plugins tab of the catalog, as the app shows it. Search, read what a plugin does and which agents it works with, then add it to your canvas.

Adding one

Three steps, the last one is an arrow

Everything happens on the canvas you already have open.

  1. Open the add-card menu

    Choose “Plugin…”. The catalog opens on its Plugins tab.

  2. Pick a plugin

    Read what it does and which CLIs it works with, then press “Add to canvas”.

  3. Draw an arrow

    From an agent to the plugin’s card. The agent picks it up on its next action.

  4. Remove it any time

    Delete the arrow and that agent is back to normal, again from its next action.
